Skab fornyelse – ikke kun produktion

Danske virksomheder skal udvikle og forny sig konstant for at klare sig i konkurrencen mod de hurtigt voksende udviklingslande. På det punkt kan humanister bidrage i erhvervslivet. Det sagde direktør i DI Lars Goldschmidt onsdag formiddag på konferencen Suitable for Business.

Humanister kan i høj grad medvirke til vækst i erhvervsøkonomien med blandt andet kreativitet, kulturforståelse og kildekritiske kompetencer, mener direktør i DI Lars Goldschmidt.

Men en humanist skal ikke kun have sine kompetencer. En humanist skal også kunne tænke fremadrettet og kunne sikre en virksomhed i fremtiden.

”Man skal være i stand til at se, at det, vi gør nu, det kan vi gøre smartere”, siger Lars Goldschmidt.

Humanister skal sælge sig selv

Efterspørgsel efter dygtige medarbejdere stiger, og der vil hele tiden være afsætning i fornyelse. Men Lars Goldschmidt opfordrer samtidig humanister til at være bedre til at sælge sig selv:

”I skal fortælle, hvad I kan, for vi kender jer ikke. Og de mange humanister skal vænne sig til at søge ud over de jobs, de plejer at søge.”

Humanisterne er også nødt til selv tage ansvar for at finde et job, da flere virksomheder ikke har fået øjnene op for humanisters kvaliteter, mener Lars Goldschmidt.
